Our story

The story of how we landed here wasn't planned. Actually, we often laugh about how this is now a reality. Up until a handful of years ago I couldn't bake anything from scratch and had never planted a flower seed. Our Journey to sourdough was purely by accident. We were buying locally and during a blizzard ran out of our favorite loaf. I did the research and attempted to make my own from scratch and failed! I failed many times, but finally, after many loaves ending up as chicken feed, we made a loaf. With more and more practice, adjusting the recipe, sharing with family and friends, it turned into something bigger. We now offer everything from traditional sourdough loaves to our fan favorite coffee cake muffin to espresso brownies. Our menu is always rotating. In the Spring of 2020, we had our third baby and had a very unscheduled summer. We started a flower garden for fun and i was hooked from that first bloom. We've evolved over the years and focus on field to vase blooms, season flower subscription offerings, as well as, wholesale supplementation. To best serve our customers we opened the Farmstand in the summer of 2025. The Farmstand is located on our property, next to the flower field. It serves as a pick-up point for our sourdough goods and our blooms. Although, it's self-serve, you will most likely find us caring for flowers or the kids greeting you as you pick up your order.

Meet Our Family

We both grew up on farms with agriculturally focused families in rural Nebraska. When we moved to southeast South Dakota, we knew that we wanted to raise a family in the country. Over the years we've created a special place that means so much to us and I hope you can visit sometime too.
